SAN JOSE, Calif. – August 2, 2018 – Newisys, a product division of Sanmina Corporation (Nasdaq: SANM), today announced that it will showcase new, disruptive storage solutions and discuss the latest developments in flash-based storage at the upcoming Flash Memory Summit 2018, August 7-9 in Santa Clara, California.
Newisys will conduct a live demonstration at booth #833 during the event, highlighting the scalability and capacity of an in-memory database made possible using non volatile memory express (NVMe) drives in its storage platforms. A number of other Newisys platforms and technologies will also be on display. In addition, Newisys flash storage experts will participate in the following sessions:
- Flash Memory Summit “Pitch Party Theater” presentation, August 7, 6:35 p.m. New, leading-edge all-flash and NVMe-based storage solutions from Newisys will be highlighted. A comprehensive line of products will be featured, including server-attached, NVMe-over-Fabrics and networked all-flash and all-NVMe storage arrays.
- Increasing Performance by Moving Compute Closer to Data (“Deploying a Scalable, Real Time In-Memory Analytics Data Pipeline Backed by Shared NVMe Expansion Devices”), August 9, 8:30 a.m. Real-time analytics engines must deal with large numbers of data streams and process them in conjunction with historic information in order to provide timely insights. This presentation will provide an alternative approach to overcoming the memory-capacity barrier, and analyzing the scalability, cost and performance of a prototype deployment.
- Improving Cassandra’s Latency and Resiliency with NVMe-over Fabric, August 9, 10:30 a.m. Experts will discuss the advantages of deploying a Cassandra database on an NVMe-oF platform, based on recent laboratory research. This “Tech Talk” presentation will be conducted at the Intel Pavilion.
- “Chat with the Experts” event, August 9, 7:00 p.m. During this event, attendees will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with thought leaders in the flash memory industry.
Last year, Newisys was awarded the Best in Show Innovation Award at the 2017 Flash Memory Summit for its NVMe–over-Fabric (NVMe-o-F) storage system. This year, Newisys is introducing a new and revolutionary all-NVMe storage server with the highest density and input/output operations per second (IOPs) in the industry.
